It was only recently that I found out that my site has been down since January (www.komodoproduction.com) of this year – yikes! – and so I will be working on getting a new domain as well setting up this blog and a new site. Pretty cool looking, I think, so far.
A couple of awesome things that’s been happening since last time I updated my site:
- went home to Indonesia for 7 months. That was pretty cool, I got to experience Indonesia in such a new way, learn its culture and food (so many yummy and cheap food) and obviously to join my wife (who’s finally here in Canada now who hoo!). I was there working as an English Teacher and God somehow orchestrated a way for me to do ministry and became a worship pastor for I.C.A (International Church Assembly) awesome church, awesome ministries, awesome people and outreach. In that moment, I was able to have some really intimate time with God and experience Him in such a fresh way – it’s been a minute since I have that interaction with God. In that moment…
- …I got the calling again. Over this journey of faith, there were spots and moments where God was like, “hey, become a pastor like your dad”. I’ve always been like, “nah, Ima do my thing” and run away from it but now I realize that you can’t really escape God cuz he’s literally with you in every journey, whether you recognize it or not, and He’s been bugging me about this ever since I started dropping Christian music and albums and doing ministries in churches. So now, back here in Canada with my wife (a long 3 year prayer), I’m answering it. I guess He’s shown me that good things happen when you trust God, even through any barriers, challenges and hardships. Back to school, get some knowledge, and see what He’s got in store next for our lives.
- A new season just basically means new words to be written (alright I don’t really write anymore, I just type on “notes” on the iphone) for new songs, and perhaps an album project. I’ve been itching to do another one. Look forward to that, and some other projects, opportunities and etc. I’ve always said “I’m gonna do big things this year” but I really don’t know. I’m hoping for some new projects and what not, but we’ll let God make that happen, and when it happens, I’m just gonna do my thing and kill it (that just means do it really really well)
Let’s end the blog with a verse, and easy one, if you’re not into reading Bibles and stuff:
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT)
Kind of a life verse right now going into this New Season. Quoting a mentor of mine, “Our real problem is not an evidence problem or a proof problem, it’s a FAITH problem. It always goes back to that word. So here we go, back at it, #Trust&Faith.
